Summer fruit

I made salad with papaya . It was sweet and sour summer fruit . The salad had a lively color. I liked it . Also the cherry is summer fruit too . Today I made cherry pie. It's America's birthday. Maybe Americans make cherry pie because their first president liked it. Tomorrow I'm going to Japan so I'll be posting from Tokyo and Sapporo this summer.夏だ！メロン、スイカ、パパイヤ、サクランボと夏のくだものが店頭に沢山、昨日パパイヤをスパーで買い、今日はファーマーズマーケットでサクランボを買いパイを作りました。初のアメリカ大統領がチェリーパイが大好きだったそうで、それでアメリカの誕生日７月４日にはチェリーパイを作る様になったとか。

Beat and Purslane

My husband and I went to farmers' market Sunday and we bought beats, a new kind . It has inside whirlpool . When I saw it ,I thought it was cute . And recently I wanted to use a new vegetable so I bought purslane.日曜日私達はファーマーズマーケットに出かけ、かわいいビートを見つけ、即　購入、最近今まで使った事の無い野菜を買う事にしていて、今回はPurslaneを買ってみました。これって野菜？どこかで見た事がある気がしてならない未だに。きっと雑草？調べてみます。

Yellow Beets

Yesterday a new farmers' market opened near my house. I bought yellow beets. When I found out them, I thought the color was pretty . Yellow beet has orange peel but inside is yellow . I tried taste. It is a little bitter but no problem. Today I made marinate. 昨日、近所でファーマーズマーケットがオープンしたので、 早々に出かけてみると、可愛い色のビートを見つけ、即購入。味見をすると少しの苦みでも問題無し。今日、酢の物をつくりましたとっても色が綺麗でしょう。

Thai Phad

This was vegetable Thai phad. No shrimp. I used all of the vegetables in my refrigerator. It was quite an ordinary dish but it was not bad.冷蔵庫の中の野菜を使ってタイの焼きそばを作りました。野菜だけ、でもまずまずの出来上がりでした。

Spring Vegetables

What spring vegetable do you think this is ? I think asparagus and radish . This spring we ate a lot of asparagus and radishes. We like it.春の野菜は何ですか？の質問にあなたなら何と答えますか？私はアスパラガスとかぶ。今年も良く食てます。最近どんどん夏野菜に切り替わってきてます。早く真っ赤なトマトが食べたいなあ〜！

Zucchini Quiche

I made zucchini quiche again. I thought it was better than before. I changed the recipe. This time I used a lot of zucchini and soy cream. I felt this was zucchini quiche.　ズッキーニーのキッシュに再度挑戦。今回は以前より上手に出来上がった。少しレシピを変更し、ズッキーニーを沢山使い、大豆生クリームも多めに。カロリーは高くなったけど、味は最高でした。

Kohlrabi

This morning we went to Farmers' Market . I asked farmer "What is it ? " "How do you use it ?" He said "you saute that and add parmesan . It is so good . You try it ." I tried them. It was a simple meal but it was good .コールラビの野菜を始めて口にしてみました。生でまずは味見。かぶの味がして、これなら食べられる。農場の人が教えてくれた通りにソテーしてパルメザンを振りかけて。口に入れて噛むと今度はキャベツの味がして美味しかった。まか不思議な味のコールラビでした。
